For young people who are awaiting SQA results, these will be delivered on Tuesday, August 4th 2020. On August 11th and 12th 2020 there will be an opportunity to meet with the SLT to discuss any options changes that may be required in light of the results. Due to the social distancing guidance, young people should call the school to make an appointment for this day either for a face-to-face discussion or by telephone. Young people should request this for subject changes only. If a level change (Higher to N5) is required this will be managed in school when we return.
As you are aware, this session the results have been awarded by SQA without completion of a final examination diet. This session there will be some changes to the SQA post-results service and appeals may be submitted. Appeals can only be submitted by the school and only where the awarded grade is below the estimated grade. SLT and Principal Teachers will determine where an appeal is appropriate and will be in touch with candidates if required. Please do not contact the school regarding appeals at this stage. SQA deadlines for appeals ensure that priority is given to those awaiting University and College places first and we will work to this.
We wish all of our young people the very best for Tuesday and hope they receive the results they expect, we look forward to welcoming them back into school from August 12th 2020 and more information on this will follow early next week,
