Christmas is a time for family and giving, but it can be tough for some people and that is why we have collaborated with the EK Christmas Kindness initiative.

After a difficult 2020 and with so many restrictions still in place, a group of East Kilbride organisations have joined forces with the aim of providing gifts for those in need.

Our charity partner Take 5 are leading the initiative, they have already committed to providing over 60 gifts for our pupils at Duncanrig but still need help to provide gifts for those in need across East Kilbride.

This brings TOY WARS…

…We are asking over the next 12 days (of Christmas) that staff and pupils donate gifts and toys to this great initiative. This could be a colouring book, a toy car, a soft toy, something cheap from B&M (other shops are available) or a repurposed gift that you do not need anymore.

Senior Pupils will be going around registration classes (starting 7th December) to collect the toys and keep a tally of everything that has been collected. The class that collects the most gifts/toys will be awarded a £1.50 voucher for each pupil for the Barista Bar (registration teacher included).

Please encourage all the pupils to get involved and feel free to donate what you can as well. It does not have to be a big fancy item; any little will help support the young people of East Kilbride.

May the odds be with you!
